Purepotions Skin Salvation - 60ml

This salve is suitable for people with dry, itchy, skin and is also suitable for people prone to eczema. Rich, deeply moisturising and restorative.

We recommend customers patch test on an unaffected area before use (leave for 24 hours) as some people may be allergic to herbs, oils or beeswax.

Can be applied liberally to any part of the body as often as needed, particularly helpful when applied thickly before bed. It is best to wear old pyjamas after applying as the salve can stain when used over time. Some people have areas of dry skin that become infected. If this is the case, take care not to spread the salve from the infected area to another.

Safe for use on babies and children. Can be safely applied to any area of the body, including face, hands and scalp.

olive fruit oil - nourishing, anti-bacterial.
beeswax - a natural emulsifier, provides a protective base and keeps the skin moisturised.
safflower seed oil - excellent for sensitive skin.
hemp seed oil - extremely nourishing, moisturising, rich in essential fatty acids (EFA's), which are often lacking in those dry skin.
tinctures of:
nettle - rich in vitamins
chickweed - rich in vitamin c, iron, calcium, potassium.
calendula - for tissue regeneration.
camomile – for softening and soothing.

Our products are special because……

They do not contain steroids or any artificial additives. Since we know that 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies we only use 100% pure and natural ingredients. This is particularly important for sore and sensitive skin. It is of even greater significance for tender, new skin and so we have developed a range of pure and natural baby products to care for little ones.

Every one of our ingredients has a specific function. Nothing extra is added to make the salves look pretty or feel creamy and light. We do not use synthetic colours or fragrances or add water to bulk out our products. Everything we put into our products is there for a reason and because of this they provide a deeper nourishment and moisture than most other skin preparations.

We use hemp oil, revered for centuries for its incredible moisturizing effect. Hemp oil is rich in essential fatty acids (EFAs) which the skin of eczema sufferers often lacks.

We use herbs that have been traditionally chosen for their specific qualities – to reduce heat, ease itching and calm and heal the skin. We also use beeswax as a base to help seal the nourishment into the skin.

Skin salvation has proved to be an excellent soothing moisturizer for thousands of people who have found it to be an enormous relief from conventional, prescribed treatments. Even in extreme circumstances skin salvation can be used alongside other medication to sooth and moisturize affected skin.

how purepotions began...

when my daughter was about six months old, I noticed that she was developing very dry skin. I began to try to moisturise it but I noticed that she would react very badly to anything mass produced or chemical. Her skin was extremely sensitive, even so-called natural creams irritated her. I searched and searched to find products that would moisturise her very dry skin that did not contain petro chemicals and harsh preservatives.

finally out of desperation I researched and experimented with oils and herbs in my own kitchen. It took many months, and lots of help from some special friends to fine tune a recipe. Finally, I formulated a beeswax based salve combined with oils and herbs - and in a very short space of time, Lula's skin was softer and clearer than it had been in years.

From my kitchen table I made one or two pots a week for Lula and for close friends and, as interest grew, so did the demand for my natural salves and I formed a company.

I now receive hundreds of testimonies from people confirming the success of our natural salves and oils. I feel very glad that I took matters in to my own hands and developed a range of products that are truly pure, natural and safe.
