The long-lasting version is much better at keeping your armpits smelling fragrant through the day. With the ordinary version I found that I was beginning to pong in the afternoon, which was kind of embarassing at work and I found myself having to wash and reapply some deodorant that I bought specially. The longer-lasting won't stop you from getting wet, that's just a fact of life unless you want to unnaturally bung up your pores I suppose. I haven't worked out which fragrance is the best for me yet. Only Calendula was availabe when I bought it. I don't suppose any of them smell particularly masculine but then they don't smell particularly feminine either, so that's OK...
