Dr Gaye Super-Porridge is a meal for breakfast - or any time of the day!
Porridge has been synonymous with breakfast for eons but we’ve moved on from heavy carb breakfasts which were eaten before a long day of hard physical graft. We now need high bio-available nutrients which keep up functioning to our optimum potential, with a good dose of protein and nothing to make us tired and sluggish. Porridge is usually cheap because grains are cheap, often modified and nothing like the grains our ancestors ate. It’s time to re-think breakfast and re-think nutrient values. When ingredients are derived from all raw food sources in themselves, the benefits are outstanding. This healthy porridge aims to provide your body with a massive dose of bio-available goodness, from the cellular level to the tip of your taste buds.
We haven’t added roasted nuts or sweetened, oven-baked things; in fact we never use anything which is cooked or processed - it’s all raw and grain-free. These extra processes (which can often sound wholesome) change the availability of the vitamins, how readily you absorb any goodness in the food itself and some of the ingredients are actually de-natured and bad for you. In fact, sometimes the added minerals and supposed benefits make your body work so hard, that the benefits never actually happen and your body becomes stressed.

Dr Gaye Super-Porridge can be made with milk (we prefer almond or coconut milk) or water, and if you’re a raw food advocate, you can further preserve the nutrient value by just gently warming the liquid you use. We love the fact that this healthy porridge takes a minute to make, can be eaten on the go, is really filling and is so easily flavoured - but also tastes delicious, sweet and satisfying just as it is, made with water.
Dr Gaye Super-Porridge can eaten in combination with Dr Gaye Super-Shake which we advocate as the staple first meal of the day - but you’re unique, so mix it up and see how you feel.

1. Put 50g (approx. 4 heaped tablespoons) of super-porridge into a bowl and pour on 200ml of hot or boiling milk or water (we advocate using non dairy milk)
2. Stir and mix your healthy porridge until it starts to thicken
3. Cover for 1 to 2 minutes
4. Add fruit and toppings of your choice or just serve
5. Eat and enjoy your healthy porridge!
6. If the porridge is a little thick or runny you can add or reduce the amount of water or milk to your taste
