This is a new, radiant and high-voltage violet a triumphant violet that registers at the opposite end of the spectrum from the shy whisper usually used to treat this flower in half-shades and shadows. It’s a transfiguration, a discovery, a totally new and yet familiar flower that bursts forth from the start.

  • "Parfumeurs depuis 1828." Perfumers since 1828. Few houses can boast such exceptional longevity. The remarkable adventure of Guerlain could be summed up in a few words: transform the art of beauty into a veritable art of refined living, embrace modernity with creativity.

    Of the 700 fragrances created by Guerlain, a good many have transcended time and continue to perfume the air with their memorable scent. Among them, Eau de Cologne Impériale, Jicky, L'Heure Bleue, Mitsouko, Vol de Nuit, Samsara, Vetiver and, more recently, L'Instant de Guerlain or Insolence.

    Continuing the tradition of an in-house perfumer, in 2008 Guerlain welcomed a "nose" to join Jean-Paul Guerlain, the hugely talented Thierry Wasser. He created Guerlain Homme and then Idylle, the new fragrance from the House.

    Guerlain symbolizes perfume in the eyes of the world, but the House was first celebrated for its skincare and makeup products.

    From the founding of the company the catalogue included "Blanc de Perles", "Crème à la Fraise" and other major innovations that marked their era just as "SuperAqua", "Success Future" or the exceptional complete care "Orchidée Impériale" continue to do today.

    While Guerlain has never delved directly into the world of fashion, its audacious research has brought a mastery of the art of colour.

    With "Ne m'oubliez pas" in 1870, Guerlain invented the first bullet form lipstick in a tube. In 1878, elegant Europeans could not get enough of "Pyrommée", which revisited the traditional khol eyeliner.

    Later, Terracotta invented nomadic makeup while Météorities played on light for a unique glow. The latest creation from the House, Rouge G, is the first lipstick that doubles as a jewel.

    Following the high-profile renovation of the flagship store at 68, Champs Elysées and the opening of a boutique in Moscow's prestigious TSUM department store, Guerlain continues to build out a selective retail network with a focus on high-end luxury, including the opening of a new Paris store on rue des Francs Bourgeois.

    The brand is also pursuing its commitment to haute parfumerie, including reissues of mythic fragrances and exclusive creations that reflect the inimitable Guerlain savoir-faire.

  • Created by the sculptor Serge Mansau, the bottle seems carved in light. With the exception of the Guerlain stamp on the cap and the name of the perfume on a silver circle, nothing comes between the glass and the radiance it captures. Body, neck, cap: these 3 half-spheres form a triple revolution around themselves.
