Just like I had in Tunisia
I've been trying several brands of Harissa to try and find the same tinned Harissa I brought back from Tunisia in 1987.
I have to say this brand FNARE is the closest I have found, and may be the one. It's pretty hot and very tasty with a lovely texture. I have used it with cold meats and in sandwiches also in cooking Tunisian and Moroccan dishes. I also use it to add spice to pickles, relishes and any dish that could do with a bit of heat, I find it smoother than chili powder. Thanks Auravita.
