During the summer nights when the outdoor air is cooler than the indoor air, warm internal air is taken straight through the unit to outside and bypasses the heat exchanger, whilst the outside cooler summer night time air is still filtered and supplied into the dwelling. The Advance Plus also comes pre-supplied with the neccessary duct connection kit for installation. Indoor air quality and energy efficiency are very important considerations in dwellings today. The Heatrae Sadia Advance Heat Recovery and Ventilation Unit has been developed to meet these demands and offers controlled and better ventilation for a healthy and comfortable indoor climate in full compliance with current building regulations, while retaining the heat to an efficiency of up to 90%. Heatra Sadia's Advance is the MVHR solution for dwellings with up to 115 square metres of floor space and five wet rooms. It's so efficient that its specific fan power (SFP) of just 0.37 W/l/s led to the creation of the 0.4 W/l/s or less category within SAP Appendix Q. Advance Plus can be laid on its back in a loft or fixed to walls or ceilings with a unique bracket, which we can supply to site in advance. The unit comes with easy fit spigots and rubber seals, the filters are accessible from the front and no tools are needed for the annual service check. Kitchen plus three wet rooms: 88%/ 0.65 W/L/s. Kitchen plus four wet rooms: 87%/ 0.83 W/L/s. Summer Bypass The Advance Plus is equipped with a bypass valve in the exhaust air line. This makes it possible to control what happens to the (warm) exhaust air from the dwelling. When the valve is in the normal position (closed), the exhaust air from the dwelling passes through the heat exchanger and exchanges heat with the cold supply air from outside. If the valve is opened, the exhaust air no longer passes through the heat exchanger, so there is no heat exchange. Although the outside air still passes through the exchanger, the supplied outside air is not warmed. This is desirable when it is warmer inside than outside in the summer. If in the summer it is cooler inside than outside, it is desirable to cool the incoming air ("cold recovery"). In this case, the valve is closed so that the relatively cool indoor air again passes through the exchanger. The position of the bypass valve is automatically determined using the measured outdoor temperature and the measured exhaust air temperature
