  • Daintily hand finished floral design to a cream ground and scrollwork and other gilt design to a dark blue ground
  • One plate has had a poor regilding job to its central motif and has two hairline spiders webs visible to its underside only
  • Both plates have fine crazing to their glaze
  • One plate has the number 1/3410 hand painted to its base.
  • The other plate is in better condition to its surface but has two hairlines just visible to the upper surface and clearly visible to the underside
  • In addition, this plate has one 8mm and one 3mm chip to the underside of its rim
  • But then these plates are about 165 years old
  • A pair of heavily gilded embossed, scalloped and fluted 9 inch diameter Staffordshire pottery plates
