Sourced from a small farming community of Inner Mongolia, the beans are produced as part of the Fairtrade cooperative Jurihe/Zhaluteqi Nature Village Farmer Association, which offers farmers fair prices and a Fairtrade premium.

The Fairtrade premium from the sale of the beans is then reinvested in the community, helping to improve education, sanitation, and local infrastructure.
