    • New iglu is a remarkable, fast and effective pain-relieving and antiseptic mouth ulcer treatment. It sticks over the ulcer to protect it from further irritation and damage, and helps speed the healing process.

  • How iglu works:

    1. iglu gel forms an adhesive layer over the treated area to form a lasting protective barrier.
This barrier helps to protect the exposed nerve endings in the ulcer from irritant food and drink, thus providing pain relief. It also protects the delicate underlying tissue as it heals.

    2. iglu also seals in painkilling and antiseptic ingredients to help numb the pain and fight infection.
One of iglu’s active ingredients, lidocaine hydrochloride, is a fast-acting local anaesthetic. The other, aminoacridine hydrochloride, is an antiseptic to help prevent infection.

Together, these properties make the ulcer feel better and speed healing!

Plus, iglu has a pleasant minty flavour and is sugar-free, so it’s kind to teeth and gums.

Unlike some mouth ulcer treatments, iglu gel really sticks to the ulcer to give lasting protection when you need it most- such as when you are eating and drinking. iglu can be reapplied whenever necessary, and individual applications can last for ages. It really works!
  • Although there are no specific restrictions to using the gel during pregnancy or breast-feeding, the potential risks are unknown and caution should therefore be exercised, as with any medicine. Ask your doctor or a pharmacist for advice.
Keep the gel away from the eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash eye immediately with water: continue rinsing for 10 to 15 minutes, holding the eyelids well apart and avoid getting the rinse liquid into the other eye. Consult a doctor if irritation persists.

Overdosage is unlikely to be a problem because of the low formulated concentration and the small pack size. Inappropriate large doses may make swallowing difficult due to the loss of feeling. This may increase the risk of food or drink going down the wrong way. Generalised numbness of the mouth may also lead to biting the inside of your mouth when eating. Excessive overdose may also lead to generalised side-effects such as nervousness, drowsiness, breathing problems or low blood pressure. In such cases, seek urgent medical attention.
If your mouth ulcer symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
  • For use in the mouth.
For adults, the elderly and children (excluding infants and babies):

    • Wash hands before and after use.
    • Apply sparingly, directly to the affected area(s) with a clean fingertip or cotton wool bud.
    • Re-apply as necessary - the aim being to keep the affected area(s) protected with a thin layer of gel.

As a guide, each application should normally last for an hour or more, although eating and/or drinking may necessitate more frequent re-application. In some cases, applications may remain in place for several hours.

    • Do not apply excessive amounts.

This product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack.
Always replace the cap tightly after use. Moisture at the nozzle of the tube may cause the gel to thicken and block the opening. Carefully clear with a pin if this occurs. Store the gel where children cannot see or reach it. Do not store above 25°C.
