READ PRECAUTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE BEFORE WAXING
READ THE LEAFLET CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS TO AVOID ANY RISK OF BURNING.
IMPORTANT: Before waxing always remove the lid and the protective foil seal, ensuring no traces of foil are left on the rim of the jar.
If you cannot remove the lid, place it under warm running water, dry it and retry.
CHECK THE HEATING TIMES CAREFULLY TO AVOID THE RISK OF BURNING IF OVERHEATED.
Reduce heating times according to the amount of wax left.
HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
MICROWAVE
ALWAYS CHECK THE HEATING TIMES WITH A WATCH TO ENSURE SAFE USE.
Heat the wax in your microwave as per the guidelines below, at medium power (for instance, use the 500 W position for a 1000 W microwave).
WARNING! Even if the jar is not too hot to hold, some of the wax may have turned into liquid and could burn if spilled. Always hold the jar upright when removing from microwave and do not tilt.
How long should I heat the wax for?
Microwave 650W 850W 1000W
To be used at: Medium Medium Medium
Full Jar: 75 secs 60 secs 55 secs
Half Jar: 40 secs 40 secs 35 secs
*The times given are approximate and may vary depending on the specific wattage of the microwave.
SAUCEPAN WITH BOILING WATER
Fill a saucepan with water, ensuring the water level is not higher than wax content in the jar.
Once the water has boiled, simmer the jar as per the guidelines in the table above.
Do not allow saucepan to boil dry or the water to come into contact with the wax or the wax to boil as this will render it ineffective.
How long should I heat the wax for?Full Jar: 10 minutes
Half Jar: 5 minutes
TEMPERATURE CHECK
Use the end of the spatula with the blue square to stir the wax for about one minute, starting in the centre and working out towards the side of the jar.
If, after about a minute, the word NO appears instead of the blue square, the wax is too hot. Wait until it cools down. Re-test the temperature by stirring the wax again with the spatula. The wax is safe to use when the word NO disappears, and the blue square reappears. To speed up the cooling, carefully stir the wax with the spatula.
ALWAYS TEST THE WAX TEMPERATURE BY APPLYING A SMALL AMOUNT ON THE BACK OF YOUR WRIST. THE SPATULA ONLY GIVES AN INDICATION.
WAX APPLICATION & REMOVAL
IMPORTANT
Hair removal is effective only if hairs are at least 5 mm long.
Skin must be clean and dry, not irritated and free from creams and oils.
Only use on underarms, bikini line or upper lips if you have waxing experience.
LEGS
How to apply the wax
Using the edge of the spatula, apply thin, even layers of wax onto the skin in the direction of hair growth (from knee to ankle). The thinner the layer, the more effective the results.
The area covered by the wax should be shorter than the strips. Never cover the whole leg of wax in one go.
Rest the spatula on the lip inside the jar: it allows the spatula to rest securely with no mess and can be used to scrape off any excess wax on the spatula.
How to remove the wax
Immediately place the strip over the layer of wax, smoothing it in the direction of the hair growth. Ensure at least 1 cm at the bottom of the strip is wax-free to grip when removing.
Immediately, hold the skin taut with one hand and with the other hand, grip the bottom of the strip. In one swift and decisive movement, remove the strip against the direction of hair growth (ankle to knee). Never lift the strip upwards, but keep it parallel and close to the skin as possible. To relieve discomfort, press skin with your hands or apply a cold compress. Repeat as necessary.
The same strip can be used up to 3 times.
Once used on one side, two strips may be stuck together and used as a clean strip.
After use, strips may be rinsed with water and dried in order to be re-used for the next hair removal session.
UNDERARMS
NOTE: Only use on underarms, bikini line or upper lips if you have waxing experience.
How to apply the wax
Cut the fabric strip in half.
Underarm hair tends to grow in 2 different directions, so it will require removing in 2 stages. Lift the elbow up and well back and hold the skin taut with the same hand. Apply the wax in thin layers upwards towards the elbow for the upper part of the underarm.
How to remove the wax
Apply the fabric strip in the direction of hair growth (towards the elbow). Smooth firmly. Then, holding the skin taut, swiftly remove the strip downwards, against the direction of hair growth. For the lower part of the underarm, repeat the process in the opposite direction.
BIKINI LINE
NOTE: Only use on underarms, bikini line or upper lips if you have waxing experience.
How to apply the wax
Cut the fabric strips to the size of the area you wish to wax.
Only use on small areas at a time. Holding the skin taut as shown, apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth.
How to remove the wax
Immediately smooth on a strip. Hold the skin taut in one hand and remove quickly against the direction of hair growth, keeping it parallel and as close to your skin as possible.
UPPER LIPS
NOTE: Only use on underarms, bikini line or upper lips if you have waxing experience.
How to apply the wax
Cut the fabric in its width, so as to obtain 8 small strips which are about 2 cm large.
Treat each side of your lip (left and right) separately.
Holding the skin taut, apply a thin layer of wax above one side of the upper lip in the direction of hair growth.
How to remove the wax
Keeping the skin taut, immediately smooth on a strip over the wax and pull back towards the nose in one quick movement.
Repeat the operation on the other side of the lip.
