Material: Cromargan® stainless steel 18/10
Cromargan® is the registered trademark of WMF for 18/10 stainless steel. Steel is refined by the incorporation of other metals which increases its utility. Cromargan® is an alloy of 18% chrome, 10% nickel and 72% steel. Chrome makes the material stainless; nickel makes it acid-resistant and adds gloss.
The composition guarantees best usage properties. Cromargan® cutleries are dimensionally stable, neutral in flavour and food acid-resistant. They are hygienic, easy to clean and, of course, dishwasher-safe.
Designer:
The cutlery designs of Peter Bäuerle are the perfect synthesis of experience and creativity. In over forty designs, which he completed since 1980 as a designer for WMF, Bäuerle has developed the most diverse designs with astonishing variety and utmost sensitivity. At the same time his range extends from timeless classics through perfect universal cutlery to very topical interpretations of zeitgeist themes.
In his design work he adheres to the assertion: By reducing exposing the essential. “Excluding is harder,” he says, “than cramming an abundance of details into a design.” As a result cutlery models are created with a clear, characteristic language of shapes, irrespective of which target group they have been designed for.
