Cod Liver Oil (CLO) is a natural source of Omega 3 fatty acids and the fat soluble Vitamins A and D. Not all fats are bad and Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to the health of the body. As part of a healthy diet it is important to try and reduce your intake of saturated fats, which can be bad for the body. Omega-3 fatty acids such as the Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) found in Cod Liver Oil are poly-unsaturated fatty acids and can be helpful in maintaining a healthy heart and circulation, and supple and flexible joints.

A range of vitamin and mineral food supplements that contain absolutely NO gelatin. Instead, the capsule shell is made from vegetable starch making it suitable for vegetarians, vegans as well as those in ethnic communities who have specific dietary requirements. Indeed it is suitable for anyone who does not want to consume animal by-products, (please note however that Cod Liver Oil supplements in the range contain Cod Liver Oil from fish).
Gelatin is....?
A gelling agent made from animal ligament, skin, tendons, bones etc, usually cattle or pigs. Most soft capsules contain gelatin. However, the vertese™ range is completely gelatin FREE.
