Our macadamia nut carrier oil is cold pressed and then refined for extra shelf life. this oil is beneficial to dry and ageing skin due to its high level of naturally occurring and moisturising palmitoleic acid (lipid or fatty acid). palmitoleic acid is found in human sebum and its levels reduce with age and therefore it is good to replenish these levels by introducing, for example, macadamia nut oil. use in massage (diluted with another carrier) or on its own to promote skin suppleness. this oil also contains small amounts of beneficial omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

If you are looking to use an oil or a blend of products to deeply moisturise then consider adding the following to this oil at approximately 10 to 20%:
shea nut butter (heat first to melt) or
cocoa butter (heat first to melt)
