This product contains a natural combination of powerful phytoantioxidants, Pine Bark Extract and Mixed Fruit Polyphenols, both are well recognised as potent free radical scavengers and also help to repair and strengthen connective tissue including that of the vascular system.
PINE BARK EXTRACT
Many botanical species contain active compounds called Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC’s). Pine Bark Extract (patented as Pycnogenol) is one main sources of OPC’s. OPC’s are unique flavonols with excellent bioavailability and extremely powerful antioxidant activity, clinical studies indicate that they are fifty times more potent then Vitamin E and a hundred times more effective then Vitamin C. As well antioxidant activity, these phytochemicals have other positive actions in the body, they stabilise collagen and are therefore useful for those with joint problems due to collagen deterioration. OPC’s also help to repair and strengthen other connective tissue including that of the blood vessels and the cardiovascular system. Other benefits in the body include antiinflammatory, anti-ageing and anti-carcinogenic actions.
