This product is designed to relieve the common digestive complaints of flatulence, bloating and abdominal pain. These symptoms may occur in isolation at certain times or they may be part of a particular digestive condition such as irritable bowel syndrome. Gastro Vit Formula contains digestive enzymes to help breakdown carbohydrates that can ferment in the gut. It also contains a wide range of herbs and oils that are renowned for their beneficial effects on the digestive process. Activated Charcoal is also included to absorb gas and toxins in the gut.
FRUCTO-OLIGOSACCHARIDE (FOS)
FOS is a form of soluble fibre that is not digested or absorbed by the body but can act as food for the beneficial bacteria of the intestines. In this way it promotes a good balance of gut micro-flora.
ACTIVATED ORGANIC CHARCOAL
Charcoal has the ability to absorb toxins and gas in the intestines therefore relieving flatulence, bloating, pain and helps to detoxify the blood of toxins produced during the digestive process.
ALOE VERA WHOLE HERB POWDER
Traditionally used as a colon cleanser this herb has anti-inflammatory, healing and immune boosting properties.
ALPHA-GALACTOSIDASE
This is an enzyme that digests carbohydrates. Its role in this supplement is to help ensure carbohydrates are digested properly so that they do not ferment in the gut releasing gas.
AMYLASE
This is an enzyme that digests starch. Like Alpha-Galactosidase, its role in this supplement is to help ensure carbohydrate is digested properly so that it does not ferment in the gut releasing gas.
ANISEED OIL & WHOLE HERB POWDER
Aniseed has antiparasitic properties. It is also a carminative and antispasmodic and helps to relieve symptoms of digestive gas, indigestion and muscle spasm.
CARAWAY OIL & WHOLE HERB POWDER
Caraway also possesses carminative properties and in addition has antimicrobial activity.
CARDAMON OIL
Cardamon is a digestive stimulant. In Chinese medicine terms it is a ‘warming’ herb. CINNAMON OIL
Cinnamon is antispasmodic and stimulates circulation. It is also an antimicrobial against E.Coli, candida albicans and some parasitic worms.
GINGER OIL & GINGER ROOT HERB POWDER
Ginger is a digestive and circulatory stimulant and promotes gastric acidity. Like Cardamon it is also a ‘warming’ herb.
LIPASE
Lipase is an enzyme that breaks down fat. Its role in this supplement is to promote proper fat digestion.
PEPPERMINT OIL
