Cholestatin Formula provides natural phytonutrients that help to lower elevated cholesterol levels and maintain normal serum levels of cholesterol and triglycerides. GUGULIPID
Gugulipid is the standardised extract of the Oleogum resin of Commiphora Mukul, an Indian medicinal plant. The main active ingredients in Gugulipid are the Guggulsterones. Research has shown that Gugulipid lowers serum levels of triglycerides and cholesterol by stimulating the liver to increase the uptake of certain lipoproteins.
CHINESE RED YEAST
Cholestatin contains Chinese Red Yeast, which is a traditional Chinese medicine that is made by fermenting a type of yeast called Monascus Purpureus over rice. Researchers have determined that one of the ingredients in Chinese Red Yeast, called Monacolin K, inhibits the production of cholesterol by stopping the action of a key enzyme in the liver (HMG-CoA reductase) that is responsible for manufacturing cholesterol.
ARTICHOKE
One of the beneficial effects of Artichoke Extract is to lower blood cholesterol level and improve triglyceride profile.
FENUGREEK
Fenugreek has long been used both as a medicine and a spice in Egypt, India and the Middle East. Modern research has demonstrated Fenugreek’s ability to promote normal blood cholesterol levels.
GARLIC
Clinical trials have confirmed that the active Sulphur constituents of Garlic are capable of lowering blood cholesterol levels and promoting healthy triglyceride balance.
LECITHIN
Lecithin is a rich source of the nutrient Phosphatidyl Choline which is a precursor for Choline. Choline is an integral structural component of all cell membranes, has a strong lipotropic (fat attracting) action and is involved with fat metabolism and transport, particularly in the breakdown and regulation cholesterol and triglycerides in the liver.
OAT BRAN
Oat Bran is a rich source of soluble fibre, which has a stabilising effect on blood sugar and helps to reduce cholesterol levels.
VITAMIN B5
Vitamin B5 has a role to play in transporting and releasing energy from fats.
