Grappa walks a fine line, balancing finesse and complex bouquet with a strong alcoholic punch. The ideal grappa glass has a widened base and tall, narrow chamber that keeps the nose high above the heavy volatile fumes of alcohol and allows delicate aromas to rise up to the taster. A long, thin stem keeps the hand from making contact with the bowl, preventing unncessary warming that increases the alcoholic "burn" on the nose.
The Grandezza series offers classic shapes in a wide array of glass types to suit every pour including wine, spirits, mineral water and cocktails. Specially designed for the food service professional, their simple, elegant look and strong functionality makes them perfect for the sophisticated restaurant or bar with a diverse beverage program.
Stölzle is an international German glassware manufacturing company. Stölzle creates crystal drinking glasses for the restaurant, hotel and retail sector . We ensure that our product maximizes the full potential, flavor and aroma of each individual drink. The professional design and hi-tech production guarantee optimum performance durability and elegance.
For over 200 years, Stölzle has been recognized as Europe's leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, 100% lead free crystal glassware for the foodservice and retail market. While Stölzle is very proud of its long European and international history and tradition, we continually seek to develop innovative new shapes and designs. Our six factories are the most economical and environmentally advanced factories in Europe. We like to say that we are in the wine business and glassware is our medium.
Stölzle's Eco-Friendly Production Advantage:
Our lead-free crystal has a higher clarity, more brilliance, and is environmentally safer when compared to glass that contains lead. The lead-free crystal glass overall is a harder product and when produced correctly is very strong. We've been producing lead-free crystal glassware for our entire 200 year history, so we know how to best finish the product.
We produce many of our lines with "pulled stem" technology. For a "pulled stem" the factory machines blow the molten glass into the mold, the stem is then pulled from the bowl to create one solid piece bowl and stem. Then the foot plate is attached and fire melted to give the overall appearance of a single piece.
The containers in which Stölzle's products are packaged are also "green." The RESY System is a German system that provides a facility for reclaiming and recycling used paper and corrugated board shipping containers.
